Why do you need my personal and banking information?

Working on The H Hub means you're getting paid! We need some info to help make that happen...

When you sign up for access to the Job Board, you'll be asked for some information. Here's a quick rundown of what we'll ask for, and why:

  • Your contact information
    • This helps us verify you are who you say you are
    • We keep this information on file for payment and end-of-year tax documents (more on that below) 
  • Are you set up to work as an individual, or as a company (LLC, S-CORP, etc.)
    • This is a required question from our payment provider, and determines what other info we need to ask for  
  • Your Social Security Number
    • This is needed for end of year-tax documents (more on that below)
  • The Debit Card or Bank Account you'd like to receive payment to
    • Direct transfers are the fastest and most secure payment method (who wants to chase after a check anyway?) The account you list here is where we'll deposit you're $$$ when projects are completed!  You can update your debit card/bank account info anytime by going to My Settings in your account.

 


If you make enough on the platform (and we hope you will!) you’re legally required to pay taxes on what you’ve earned. At the end of the year, we’ll send you a 1099 for your tax return. One of the benefits of working via The H Hub is that you get one document reflecting all of your jobs on the platform, so taxes will be that much easier!
